UPCC and Access Fund Scholarship Program

The UPCC is excited to announce a Grant/ Scholarship Program for South Superior Climbing Club (SSCC) and Ridge Roamer Members. This is made possible with the support of the Access Fund and Yoop Dog Yoga. The idea is to help our college climbers to become strong stewards and climbing advocates.

This is how it works, beginning March 15 (and application period ending June 15), the UPCC will accept applications from SSCC and Ridge Roamer Members.

To apply, send a proposal using the below link. Make a proposal for how you can help UP Climbing. Examples could be: (1) cleaning graffiti from a local crag, (2) picking up garbage or broken glass, (3) designing artwork/logo ideas for the UPCC, (4) organizing a campus stewardship or leave no trace presentation, or (5) any other rad idea that helps further the UPCC's mission of preserving and protecting our climbing areas.

Each year, we will select three applications from NMU and MTU. The successful applicants will receive the following:

(1) One year membership in the UPCC and Access Fund;

(2) An Access Fund T Shirt;

(3) A UPCC T-Shirt with the below logo (on green or orange shirt);

(4) A sticker pack of UPCC and Access Fund logos;

(5) A UPCC pint glass or coffee cup (your choice);

(6) Shout outs on our social media and Webpage; and

(7) an enthusiastic high-five.

Successful Applicants will have until December 31 to complete the project. Successful Applicants are required to submit photos of the work being performed and before/after photos.
